Reports of cases in the Common Pleas, 1610-1619.

Contains reports, mostly in the Court of Common Pleas, Pas. 8 to Hil. 11, Pas. 14, Mich. 15 and Hil. 15, Hil. 16 Jac. I (1610-1614, 1616-1619). Begins with Foster v. Jackson. They are of Middle Temple provenance: (1) "Ceux deux arguments de Nicholls et Dodderidge jeo escry verbatim hors de luver de reports amicissimi mei Talbotti Pepys, jeo mesme esteant absent del ambideux" (fo. 6v); (2) "Ex libro rep. Magistri Jerm." (fo. 12); (3) "Ex libro Magistri Savage" (fo. 40v). These latter are probably Talbot Pepys, Philip Jermyn, and William Savage.

Sir John Doddridge or Dodderidge (1555-1628) was the Devonshire lawyer, serjeant-at-law, solicitor-general, M.P., and judge in the Court of Kings Bench who wrote and published extensively on law and history, was a member of the young Society of antiquaries, and in 1630 published a history of Wales, Cornwall, and Chester. William Ralph Savage was born September 12, 1926 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He received his B.S. degree at Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa, in 1951. He took his Ph.D. there in 1956. He joined the faculty of the State University of Iowa in August 1963 as associate professor of physics and astronomy. He was promoted to full professor in 1978.
